This Privacy Policy explains how PuraVidaSoftware, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information in Gathering (the App Store name RealPeople), our professional networking app. It applies to Gathering only, not to our other apps.
When you create an account we collect the details you enter or that your sign-in provider shares, which may include name, email address, profile photo, headline, company, location, interests, and what you are networking for.
You may also provide messages, connection requests, event details, imported contacts (for example from a file you choose to upload), and calendar or event-source links you connect.
You can sign in with email (we send a one-time code), Apple, Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn. Those companies authenticate you and may share a name, email, and photo with us. We do not receive your provider password. Their privacy policies govern their handling of your account with them.
If you add a profile photo, the app asks for access to your photo library or camera. Location in Gathering is the city or place you type on your profile so we can show nearby events; we do not require background GPS tracking to use the app.
We use this information to operate Gathering: to create your account and profile, suggest people and events, send connection and message notifications you opt into, improve matching, keep the service secure, and communicate about the app.
Matching may use automated ranking, including a server-side model, so we can suggest people whose interests appear to align with yours.
Your profile is visible to other members when Discoverable is on (it is on by default; you can turn it off in Privacy settings). Existing connections can still see your profile if you go private.
We use infrastructure providers to host the app (currently Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage). They process data only to provide those services. We do not sell your personal information.
We keep account data while your account is active. To delete your account and associated profile data, email support@puravidasoftware.tech from the address on your account. We may retain limited records as required by law or to resolve disputes.
Gathering is not directed to children. You must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You can edit your profile, turn Discoverable off, adjust notification preferences, and sign out in the app. You can also disconnect a social login by contacting us or through the provider.
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do. Material changes may also be noted in the app.
